Kunstnacht is an evening full of unique experiences in which surprising combinations of Nijmegen and regional art institutions show what they have to offer in an accessible festival format to a wide audience. By making an unusual mix of participating parties, exciting crossovers with art in all disciplines are created. Kunstnacht challenges makers and organizations to step outside the box and thus give art a special stage.

The Kunstnacht program is spread over 4 zones in Nijmegen. In the 3 zones in the center of Nijmegen there is a program from 19:00 - 00:00. The zone on the NYMA grounds has a program from 9:00 PM - 12:00 AM. From 11.45 pm the doors of the Night Party in the Vasim, near the NYMA grounds, are open.

You need an e-ticket for the Kunstnacht programme. You can have this ticket scanned and exchanged for a wristband. This wristband gives you access to all participating locations. There are two types of tickets: with the Kunstnacht ticket you have access to all programs in all zones (including NYMA), until midnight. With a passe-partout or Nachtfeest ticket you have access to the Nachtfeest: from 00:00 - 04:00 in the Vasim.

The program at the participating locations takes largely place inside the venues. You will also occasionally be surprised outside around the participating locations!

There is no minimum age for the Kunstnacht programme. It mainly depends on your child's interest and attention span. There is no special children's program. However, some program components may appeal to young visitors. View the line-up for this.

There is a diverse offer at 10 locations by about 60 cooperating cultural organizations. There is something for everyone! Most art disciplines are represented within each zone, so you will find a diverse program everywhere.

The full program can be found online here and soon in the app. On the evening itself, program flyers are available on which the map and the participating organizations are listed.

You can put together your own route or be inspired by one of our colored zones, for programs close to each other. You do not need to make reservations for any program. It also doesn't matter where you start or end, only the program on the NYMA grounds does not start until 9 pm.

Kunstnacht takes place in the center of Nijmegen and the NYMA grounds. The locations are easy to reach on foot or by bicycle.

• Are you coming by bike? There are bicycle racks at the station and at most program locations.
• Are you coming by train? The programs in Doornroosje, the Paraplufabrieken and the Schouwburg are right next door. Buses also run from the station to various locations in and around the center. Tip: grab an OV bicycle, so you can easily travel between the different zones.
• Are you coming by car? Park your car in one of the parking garages in or around the center (Kelfkensbos, Eiermark, Mariënburg, Molenpoort, Keizer Karel or the Oude Stad car park).
• The NYMA site is easily accessible by bicycle and car and has ample parking space. The entrance to the NYMA grounds is through Waalhalla.

Special Kunstnacht transport runs between different locations: a solar train runs between Lindenberg, LUX and Stadsschouwburg, from 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM. The solar train stops at the stop approximately every 20 minutes, check the signs at the stops for the estimated departure time.

With your Kunstnacht ticket you can visit all programs in the whole city, only for the Nachtfeest (from midnight in the Vasim) you need a separate ticket or a passe-partout.
