Doornroosje presents: Beitels & Beats

During Kunstnacht (Art Night), the Nyma Makersplaats transforms into Nijmegen's largest sound stage. Musicians Daniel Eskens, Fee Aaij, and Rocco Hueting are collaborating to deliver a one-off, site-specific musical show in which the building itself doubles as a musician. Expect a vibrant mix of styles, rhythms, and sounds. Surprising, challenging, and danceable!

Daniël Eskens is a composer, bassist, and producer. With his band FAST DE, he fuses the worlds of jazz, club music, improvisation, and alternative indie into an explosive and unpredictable sound. Adventure, playfulness, and experimentation are key core values ​​in his music. Self-proclaimed troubadour Fee Aaij is an emerging (jazz) pianist and composer. She writes and performs both in bands and as a solo act and describes her music as Melancholic Punk Jazz. Rocco is a musician with a penchant for synthesizers. He plays in De Staat and 4b2m. Last year, he took his first steps into the world of improvised music with Hidden Soundsystem and W.O. III.

On September 20th, the Nyma Makersplaats will be more than just a backdrop: the building's industrial character will become part of the music. Almost as if the building itself is singing and dancing along. How, you ask? Come experience it!
