EVERYDAY MONUMENT - Dirk Hoogeveen

In historic cities, public places around government institutions are made monumental by means of long lines of sight through the city, lanes that all come together towards a square, which is often completed with a fountain.
The Everyday Monuments project wonders why we have nothing to say about what a monumental square can or should be for us. A fountain camouflaged as an everyday roll container. Which, like a real fountain, is activated at fixed time intervals.
Everyday Monuments turns the 'everyday' squares and corners into a monument. And focus on the lost places of the city.
