Kerim Safa

At the invitation of the Schemerlicht Festival, Nijmegen-based artist Kerim Safa projects his pixelated, geometric creations onto the last unaltered structure at the Nyma Makersplaats. Using music and gaming software, he creates minimalist animations characterized by low resolutions, limited use of color, algorithmic patterns, and cyclical narratives. His style draws from early computer graphics and video games, reinterpreting them through a contemporary digital approach. Especially for Kunstnacht, Safa has developed a new audiovisual piece that plays with the remaining structures of the former spinning mill.
