Nijmegen's city center, the Honig Complex, and NYMA-terrain will once again be the backdrop for Kunstnacht on Saturday, September 20th. This year's cultural evening features more venues than in 2023, with a total of 38 participating locations across the city. One of the most striking additions is the brand-new Stevens' Skywalk: a temporary walking route across the roof of the Stevenskerk church, including live poetry and panoramic views of Nijmegen.

Six zones, 38 locations: Kunstnacht grows and spreads

To manage visitor flows and facilitate orientation, the program is divided into six clearly structured zones: Mariënburg, Honig, NYMA, Stevenskerk, Veerpoorttrappen, and Keizer Karelplein.

Within these zones are 32 participating locations, including: LUX, Bibliotheek Mariënburg, Festivalhuis, De Vereeniging, de Lindenberg, Valkhof Museum, Stevenskerk, Café De Plak, Besiendershuis en De Bastei, NYMA Makersplaats, BIOMA Lab, International Drawing Center, Blik, RUIS and De Werkplaats.

A complete overview of all locations and a map can be found in the Kunstnacht-app, on the website, and in the program booklet.

An accessible and free cultural warm-up, spread across four hospitality venues in Nijmegen: Hubert, PAAK, Bloemerbar and Club Novia. Entree is free, and visitors can freely hop between the locations to create their own cultural discovery route.

Poetry at height: visit Stevens’ Skywalk during Kunstnacht

Starting this year, it's temporarily possible to walk across the roof of St. Stevens Church via Stevens' Skywalk. During Kunstnacht, this space will be transformed into a cultural space, featuring various live poetry readings during the program 'Dichter op de Toren' featuring Rik Sprenkels, Kyrke Otto, and Jet Sterkman. Visitors climb 135 steps and reach a height of 24.5 meters, with views of the city illuminated by green skybeams.
